Julia T., Hannah T. and Taya L. led us in singing, “The 4-H Trail Song,” the “Bear Song,” and “Doggie in the Window.”
Our Health and Safety Report was given by Sarah N. on athlete’s foot. She explained that it is a fungal infection that itches, but can be prevented by wearing flip flops in public restrooms or camp showers and by not sharing shoes. Symptoms noted were flaky skin, itchiness and blisters. In the event that athlete’s foot is discovered, a visit to the doctor for proper treatment was recommended.
Devotions were led by Elizabeth A. who read an article called, “Life Isn’t” from Chicken Soup for the Soul. She expressed that life isn’t about trivial things, but about loving others and using your life to touch another person’s. She also read II Corinthians 10:12-13, 17 and 18.
Old Business was presented by Mrs. S. She reminded us to pick up our pins and point prizes from last year. She also made sure that everyone present had a point sheet. Sign-ups for building supervision at the fair, demonstrations and refreshments were passed around the room.
